Default Exception OE has occured..:(

I am running Windows 98 with 128Meg Ram. The error I get is AN EXCEPTION OE
HAS OCCURRED AT 0028:00000017 IN VxD. THIS WAS CALLED FROM 0028:C182DD58 IN
VxD SCSI1HLP(03) + 00000508.

I have reformmated my pc, rebooted by limitting the drivers being
installed. This started occuring once i installed my Pioneer DVD-109.

Can anyone help me....?
Bobby

If you can start Windows in either normal mode or Safe Mode, open Windows Explorer
and navigate to the C:\Windows\System\iosubsys folder, and rename the SCSI1HLP.VxD
file to SCSI1HLP.VX_, or SCSI1HLP.BAD, then restart.

I assume you cannot start Windows...if that's the case, start in DOS mode:
-Start the computer and hold down the CTRL key till the Windows 98 Startup menu
(boot menu) appears, OR, tap the F8 key repeatedly during the boot process, till the
boot menu appears.
-Use the arrow keys to select "Command Prompt Only" and press Enter.

In DOS mode, at the C: prompt, type the following and press Enter:

ren c:\windows\system\iosubsys\scsi1hlp.vxd scsi1hlp.vx_

Then press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart, and see if the problem still exists.
