Default Clock is always slow

Why is it that every second day or so the clock on my
computer has slowed by 5 minutes or so? I usually have to
double-click on the time to bring up date/time properties
and then change/adjust the time to the correct time. Any
ideas why this is so?
TIA
Christine

Possibly/probably due to a failing CMOS battery, particularly if your PC is
more than a couple or so years old. A replacement battery is quite cheap but
you will need to read your PC User Manual to find how to replace it (or take
it to your local PC store)

Take note to see if the computer is losing time only while you have it shut
down. If that is the case, you need a new CMOS battery. Check your manual
or the motherboard manufacturer's website for the specific battery you need
and the procedure for changing it.
