Default Warning about Opera

So, did Opera change the screen resolution on every Windows 98 startup?
Or was it just the one time. If it was just the one time, well, you're

It never happens normally. I did not change or install anything else in
months except fighting with FF extensions, using FF 3.6x with Kernel-Ex.
This happened after I installed Opera and shortly afterwards I rebooted.
I only rebooted because I had to shut off the power in the house because
I was wiring up a light fixture.

As soon as the computer started, I had that messed up screen. Like I
said, Opera has done simolar things in the past, so I have no doubts it
was the cause. I removed Opera right away. I restored the registry from
Dos Enter: scanreg /restore. Registry restore is easy in win98.

Win98 is my preferred OS. But I also use XP on another machine, and do
at times boot to PC-linux or Puppy Linux, using a bootable USB flash
drive. I tried Linux Mint, and thought it was a bloated piece of crap,
which also locked up my computer (the XP machine). I'm no big fan of
linux, but it's a good way to copy the XP folder to my backup drive and
it plays music and videos well. Otherwise I can do without it.

I will never install Opera again on any computer or OS. Besides it's
obvious bugs, (like this screen messup), I dont like it anyhow, and
never have. I dislike IE, but I'd use IE before I'd ever use Opera
again. But my perferred browsers are all Mozilla based. Firefox *was* my
favorite for years, but they seem to have sold out, and their bloated
nerer versions just chew up all my resources, and their latest versions
are lacking all the familiar buttons. K-Meleon and Seamonkey are what I
am using most now. Chrome also sucks!

My next computer will be a Macintosh!
