I confess that I find the technical aspects of networking very
confusing. Even a job as intuitively simple as getting two PCs to
communicate via a null modem cable and MS direct cable connect gets me
into all kinds of difficulty with passwords and protocols.

My problem now is that I have an Epson WiFi printer with its little
server, and a notebook with a Buffalo WiFi cardbus card.

I've succeeded in giving myself many hours of recovery work when I
lost broadband access as a result of playing around with the network
settings in an attempt to get WiFi communication between PC and
printer via the server. The epson instructions don't work for me and
are dreadfully confusing to a novice in networking, though I've 20
years experience of computing.

I've read two chapters in the Que book on Win98se, twice, and I still
can't fathom the whole thing - those screens you get when you enter
networks from control panel confuse me.

So please, someone ... all I want to do is print via Wifi to my epson
1900WiFi printer. Surely there must be some simple instructions that
will enable an elderly physics PhD to get success!

Please!
