Hello,

I have many problems at the moment, but came here for perhaps some advice
Fdisk, just prior to
instal of win98

Question is regarding the " % " symbol while making partitions on a clean
hdd.
The hdd in question is 80gig. I already know about Fdisks limits above
64gig hdd's.......
but already know that that can be overcome by simply not nominating the
size during partitioning
with Fdisk, and rather just using percentages ( %)....... I know this
because I have already
done it on my my primary computer.

Bottom line is,,,, when Fdisk asks for the size of partition or
percentage, does the ' % ' symbol
get put in before the nominated %, or does it go in after?
I.E.... if i want to allocate say '10%' for the first logical drive, do
i write it like this
' 10% ' or like this ' %10 '? it has been over 3 years
since i have done this.

this all came about today when i wiped an 80gig drive clean, then
proceeded to to make a primary and
some logicals using Fdisk. after finishing what i thought was a job
well done, i then proceeded
to load on 98se to the freshly formatted c:drive...... no problem
there, cept when instal
finished, i noticed 2 partitions were missing, then noticed that nothing
was as i had set it up in
Fdisk.... so, i guess i just want to be sure about the % symbol
before i start again.

cheers.
