The default startup screen is incorporated into the file io.sys in the root of
C:\. If however the file logos.sys is present this will be displayed instead.
Therefore to change back to the default startup splash screen rename the file
logo.sys to say logo.old. As for the shutdown screen look for and rename any
file named logos.sys to return to the Win Me default. I see none but perhaps
an orange on black "It's now safe to turn off your computer" if your computer
doesn't automatically power done when you exit Win Me.
