How soon is "pretty soon" ?

Have you checked ControlPanel/PowerOptions ?

Could be a number of things, if it's just shutting down

randomly or

after a certain amount of time, it may be a hardware-

related problem;

ie: power drop or heat.

Could you be more specific?
