Default Defrag wont start

How long have you been having problems with Windows Media Player? Unless
very recent system restore isn't the answer. First though check that your
sound card is installed properly and functioning correctly. When you
open the Device Manager (Control Panel | System) and expand Sound, video
and game controllers (click the + sign), can you see your sound card/chip
listed? Does its properties sheet tell you anything?

If the sound card is AOK in the device manager, test that it is working.
You can do this as follows: Control Panel | Sounds and Multimedia, select
a sound in the Sounds tab and click Play (the button alongside the drop
down Name box). Do you hear the selected sound?

I thought this would have fixed a problem I had with the media player
(9) but when I try to play a video I get an error message OxCOOD11BA
(cant find file) ,
and when I play audio it says OxCOOD1197(problem with sound card),
should I try system restore to fix the media player or down load
another player ?
