Default PPP Adapter. in winipcfg

With the telephone line unplugged, I still eventually in the evening lost
connection. And I've forgotten to print the "route print" out. damn!

I'll turn the modem log on to see if indeed there is anything that tries to
dial the phone for me.

I'd still look at your modemlog to see if Dial-Up Networking has
logged any connection attempts. Maybe you have a rogue app or dialer
on your machine.
