Works was never a free program and cannot legally be downloaded. As
Heather has already suggested, if you can't find your Works CD amongst the
recovery media supplied with your PC, try somewhere like eBay.

I might have, as I've had to reboot recently and was clearing out
some programs I didn't need (like Eudora and Microsoft Money). I
checked the Restore CD and couldn't find works on it anywhere.

Which means that your PC did not come with Win Me pre-installed as
Win Me
did not go RTM until 19 June 2000 (the files are however dated 6 June
2000) and was not available on new PCs until at least August 2000.

-- I stand corrected, I purchased the E-Machine in April of 2001,
when I moved into my new home. Do you know of anywhere I can
download Works? I have several documents saved in Works that I
cannot access. And I'm now on fixed income.
