update for IE6 SP1 which was released in June 916281.
Getting a copy of this hotfix however is far from easy as both the Windows
Update site and also the Windows Update Catalog seem to be giving problems
to users when accessed using Win Me and I can't find the Win Me version of
this patch at the Microsoft Download Center.
The easiest way to get a patch would possibly to use a PC running XP and
using this PC go to the Windows Update Catalog
(http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...n/default.asp).
Click "Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems"
Select "Windows Millennium Edition"
Click Advanced Search and enter 916281 in the box "Contains words ..."
Click Search and then on the next screen click "Critical Updates and
Service Packs (1)"
Click Add and then "Go to Download Basket" and download the patch to the
PC (Note this does not install the patch).
Now transfer the patch to your Win Me PC and install. The patch is 3.6MB
in size so best transferred using a usb thumb drive.
