Default AW: Can't boot win98! Sectors not found Dos error, right?

Dang, I also should have said that all those files I can't read when
the C: partition (win98) is my system partition, I can still read
just
fine when I've booted to XP. That's why I'm thinking there's
something fairly simple (other than restoring the data) that I could
do to the c: (win98) partition that would make it good again.

Is your partition FAT16 or FAT32?
What's the size of your partition?

(see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/118335)

What's the type of your partition (primary or extended)?
How many partitons of which type are in your system?

(see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/69912)

It _is_ a FAT partition, not NTFS?
