Default Will a Maxtor OneTouch 4plus work with win98?

It's your choice, and I have never tried that specific model on Win98,
but I've used various external One-Touch drives and my experience is
that the drive will work just fine as a simple drive. What won't work is
all the "One-Touch" backup software that's included. Note that while the
drive *should* work under USB1.1, it will be slow as molasses. Best if
the machines have USB2. Unfortunately, you can't get that in Win98 First
Edition.

If you want, I'll see if my Maxtor 350GB drive works under Win98FE, and
if so, I'll swap you, ;-)

Well, the really important one is to use Win98SE. However, when you say
"Simple drive", I'm confused. I know what a "basic disk" is in XP, but
I've never heard the term "simple drive" in Windows 98.
