Kim are you using Noton(symantec)antivirus? If you are the was a problem
about 6 months ago when there security certificate expired that caused word
and other applications to hang like you mention. I have not heard of this
problem recently. Have you tryed disabling Norton if you are using it. After
you disable it including the realtime scan, try word,etc but don't rebppy
becuse Norton will start again. If this fixes it junk Norton (I did) and try
AVG, AVAST or CA's etrust anti virus progams any of the three work. The
first two have a free version, I don't know if CA is still offering a year
of EZArmour(AV & Firewall)still but the etrust version from CA is only $29.

I open my OE mail, then open the Word attachment, so far fine.

Then I try to copy the text of the word doc onto another email from OE
that I am about to send....
that's when 2 things happen:

1. my OE FREEZES
2. and it say
Microsoft WORD " not responding"

So I cannot cut and paste the Word doc. The Word doc is only 4 pages
long.

I checked my PC
I have 192 RAM
75% free

I have a Win Me and 20GB and 750 Mhz Intel CPU.

I did a scandisk, defrag and AVG virusscan. Still same problem.

Why is this happening ?

Can anyone pls. help me.

I am NOT TECHNICAL.
