Default "This page cannot be displayed" problem!

I've had the exact same problem with my girlfriends parents PC. I've never
used this site before and have put my query in the ME general section. I'm
not that technically minded so bear with me!

About 3 weeks ago we signed them upto Tesco BB and have found they can surf
for approx 15 minutes before the dreaded "This page cannot be displayed"
appears.

I've tried another forum and they have suggested it maybe Outlook Express
disconnecting the line after checking for mail - a throw back to dial up to
save phone bill costs?.

I'd be really greatful for any suggestions. When I visited them yesterday I
noticed both Avast! and Zonealarm were not in the system tray and had to
manually start them up. I updated Avast! and ran a thorough virus test but
it found nothing.

It is really frustrating though!!!

Anyone...........
Weird problem on my Windows ME system: I lose Internet connectivity
approximately 15 minutes after bootup. Until then all works very well. But
when it dies, IE has the subject-line error message (whether using my dialup
OR high speed). If I reboot, all works well again for about 15 minutes,
then no more Internet again. Also, my other Internet applications don't
work -- anti-virus updates, Instant Messaging, nothing else! HOWEVER, I can
ping and tracert all over the world!!!!!!!!!!! Everything else on the
computer works great, and no viruses caught by AVG.

This is too crazy. Any help would be appreciated.
