The files that it's looking for may be on your installation CD for your NTL
connection. Anytime a file cannot be found on the Win98 CD, point the
installer to the NTL connection installation CD.

Another option is to contact NTL for assistance in installing their
software. If they insist that the missing files are files that shipped with
Win98, let us know the file names and which version of Win98 you have and we
can tell you which .cab file contains them and you can extract them to a
folder and point your installer at that folder when asked for these files.

Windows 98 is having trouble installing this software for our new NTL
broadbrand connection. Once the modem is recognised (and the green lights
show), the PC requests to restart and Windows locates new hardware and
builds
the driver database, it then tries to install the software for it.

During this installation it requests for the Windows 98 Second Edition CD
Rom to be inserted, so it can find some files. This leads on to say it
cannot
locate several files (10 in all) on the CD, which are needed to finish the
installation.

I have looked on this website and saw that downloading the 240075UP.exe
application (updated uhcd.sys - Fixes Problem with Some USB Devices Not
Running
). I have downloaded this file, yet I am receiving the same issues with
the
Win98SE CD Rom not finding these 10 files needed to finish the
installation.

What do I need to do?
Hope someone can help, as now I am offline and paying NTL money for
nothing!
