I have no idea; however, there is no such thing as an OEM upgrade CD. OEM
CDs are full installation CDs for computers that do not have a Windows
operating system. There is a trick
http://home.satx.rr.com/badour/html/upgrade.html that can be used
where an OEM CD can be used for an upgrade installation; however, I don't
believe that would account for the verbiage you provided.

To add to that...Why would system information use the word "upgrade", my
assumtion that it was an upgrade was based on that? Relook at the system
information I posted if your in doubt. It's exactly as stated, give or
take a few x's.

thanks...theorhetically one could buy a win98 upgrade cd and have all
the files needed when win98 asks for the cd to add files/software like
"accessibility"? Even if the licenses are different?

I assume different. As you have an OEM install, I deem it unlikely
that it could be an upgrade over Win95, but what does it matter?
The same system files exist in an upgrade CD as in a full CD, though
OEMs may vary that.

I assume this means windows 95 was upgraded using a full version of
windows
98?
