Default Windwos Me won't boot

OK, I'm sorry but as far as I am concerned it has to be all bets off since
you have GoBack installed and you need to hope that someone with
experience of GoBack sees your plea for help and dives in to help.

Due to having GoBack installed you are unable to see your hard drive when
booting to DOS and have to follow the exact instructions provided by
GoBack if you wish to see your hard drive, the reason being that GoBack
has changed the partition type or "descriptor" meaning that it cannot be
seen from DOS unless GoBack is running or GoBack disabled. The C:\ drive
you are seeing when you run DIR C: after booting to DOS with your setup
floppy is the contents of the RAM drive set up by the boot floppy and not
the contents of your hard disk. Check the documentation that came with
the PC for how to proceed. You should be able to use GoBack to restore
your system to the state it was in when it was last functioning correctly.

It is probably because GoBack is installed that your Win Me Recovery CD
gave the error message it did when you attempted to use it.
