Default Cannot open Windows Word or Word documents

Sometimes it's caused by a bad shutdown of Word - sometimes it just seems to
'happen'!. I know of no real defined cause.

Glad it worked for you, and thanks for the feedback - Good Luck!

Wow!! Worked like a charm. Thank you so much! Was there any particular
reason
why this happened? Would like to prevent it from happening again. Thanks
again!!

This problem is almost always caused by a corrupted Normal.dot template
file
do a Search for all such files, and rename ALL found to Normal.JNK -
reboot,
and try opening Word again.

I've suddenly been having this problem: when I try to open the Windows
Word
program or any Word document, it does not load. The program/document
will
freeze at the beginning without loading and when I press
control/alt/delete
to try to get out of it, I get the following message: The system is
dangerously low in resources. Would you like to terminate the following
application: Winword.
I have to restart my computer every time this happens. I've deleted my
temp
internet files, emptied out the recycle bin etc but this does not seem
to
be
the problem. What exactly are "resources?" What is going on and how can
I
fix
this? Thanks for your time!
