My dear brother was trying to do something on my fathers computer. He's new
to computers at age 79 and I only have limited knowledge of systems problems.
The current setting is now 16 color and a resolution of 640 by 480. I've
followed the trouble shoot instructions and nothing seems to fix the problem.
The Hardware Accelerator is set to "None", etc. How can I rectify the
problem. Also since my brothers intervention I am getting error messages at
start up, ie "Kb891711 has caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL" and while I'm
going crazy trying to reset everything I'm getting other DLL error type
messages. "Helpctr has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL" and "Rundll32 has
caused an error in MMSYSTEM.DLL".

I've been unable to do a restart check point from a previous version as
there are no previous checkpoints since my brother "fixed" my fathers
computer.
