Default 'USBNTMAP.SYS' and 'USBSTOR.SYS' not found

Hmm.. not exactly unheard of. Sometimes WinMe can be somewhat 'sluggish' in
enumerating (recognising) certain USB devices for the first time and a
re-boot has been known to help kick it where it needs to.

Anyway, well done Nancy, I'm pleased you've now got yourself sorted out and
thanks for the feedback - enjoy your music.

Thanks to you both for your suggestions. Unfortunately, none of this
really
did the trick, but I discovered by accident that my computer recognized
the
flash drive after I rebooted without removing it -- go figure! I was just
trying to pull a music folder off an old machine, and I finally succeeded,
so
no need to try further to resolve the problem, but I appreciate your
support
just the same.

In addition to Mart's suggestions if the flash drive appears in the
Device
Manager but doesn't show in Windows Explorer check that the USB Flash
Drive is formatted as either FAT or FAT32 and hasn't been formatted as
NTFS.
