Default 120 gig drive split into 2 partitions ,, one died , can it be fixed with out affecting the other

R-Studio FAT 3.0 costs $50 and will recover everything, almost certainly
(there are never any guarantees in this kind of situation. I've used
R-Studio with great success. http://www.data-recovery-software.net/

Sounds like the file tables got munged during the power failure. There are
folks around who can rebuild such things, but it would cost a lot more than
$50

hi .. had a power failure a few weeks back ..
had a 120 gig ide drive , which was partitioned into to equal halves ,
one for the operating system , this one is ok , fat32 file system ...
and the other for data,, which winxp keeps want to format , was also
fat32 ,, but is being reported as raw or unknown.

have run some trial recovery data utilities, recovers some data .. so
i know its there , but they all have a size limit ,, so no good for
some back zipped files ..

any ideas ?
