Default Installation Disk Bad??

I understand what you're saying. However, after I sselect a theme, any
theme, the Have Disk box lists no components to install. I don't know where
to go after this point.

Rubbish! Forget about ani files. They won't exist until you try
installing a theme.

Details and select the themes but then I receive the error message
about not finding the .ani files anywhere on the computer or CD.

The only ani files you will find until you install a theme are globe.ani,
appstart.ani and hourglas.ani.

The computer tech who worked on my PC a few days ago told me my CD
was bad.

In which case how did he install Win Me? Look for a folder containing a
number of files with a CAB extension. By default this folder will be
either C:\Windows\Options|\Install or C:\Windows\Options\Cabs, Your
computer tech may just have chosen to delete this folder or locate it
elsewhere in which case get him back at his expense to complete the job.
The folder should contain around 25 CAB files (possibly more if you've
installed some updates), including Base2.cab, catalog.cab, drivern.cab
(n=5-7), net3.cab, net4.cab,precopy.cab and win_n.cab (n=8-22).

I suspect your problem is that either the cab files have been deleted or
are in another location than that stored in the registry. Post back
whether you can locate the cab files and their location.

There appears to be no *.ani files for the computer to find to add to
my Desktop Themes, hence the 0.0 mg. I can click on Desktop Theme
Details and select the themes but then I receive the error message
