Glad you like it, Harry. I have used it forever, it seems. It caught one
many years ago that Norton couldn't catch for months. Kakworm, perhaps?
The memory is the first thing to go, grin.

Cheers......Heather

Definitely not disappointed, Mart.
I will be using it just the way Heather is, about once or twice a month. I
really like it and don't know how I did without it for so long.
Cheers to you and everyone, with or without a g.

Harry.

'Tis a nice little utility/program Harry, but I don't know if you sound
happy or disappointed that nothing was found g

Heather:

I downloaded, installed and ran F-Prot successfully, with no malware

or
viruses found.
What a nice little utility/program..
Thanks for the offering.

Harry.

Hi Harry.....

Shane's post added a lot of sense as well. The most important thing

to
do
is practice *safe hex*......which really means common sense. No

opening
attachments from Aunt Maude without checking first, staying off

unsafe
websites, keeping all patches up to date on IE, and so on. I have a

lot
of
things that I use over and above an AV and a firewall that make OE/IE
safer.

NOW....DO NOT put a second on-access scanner on your computer!! I

have
a
second one on here, but it is the *manual* F-Prot for DOS.....it is

free
and
I have used it longer than EZ Trust. It is my backup AV. I run it

every
month or two. It sometimes catches stuff that other AV's do not.

But
it
does NOT run in the background....along with EZ Trust. I have to
activate
it myself to do a scan. I want you to understand the difference

between
manual and on-access scanners.

Whew....I know I am being very firm!! But it is also very important

that
you do not do what you are thinking!! The analogy I like to use
is.....picture two basketball players going for a jump ball......they
crash
into each other and guess what.....they miss the ball!! That is what
will
happen with two on access scanners.....they will both try to grab a

virus
and quite probably miss it.

Comprendez? And I commend you for coming here FIRST and asking

whether
you
should do something or not (sort of, grin)......I just saw where you

were
heading.

Never, ever be afraid to ask about anything.....here is where you get
your
answers.

Cheers....Heather (and I don't really bite......just growl a bit,

grin)

If it didn't, it sure gave me a better insight, Heather.
For all I can tell, AVG updates daily right now, at least for the

last
three
to four days or so. It really does a nice job.
The thing that makes it so hard for me to decide is, that I paid 40

$'s
for
EZArmor and hate to see it wasted.
Is it really so important not to have a second Antivirus besides

EZ,
or
would it actually tolerate it?
Personally I don't see why not.
I know very well, the choice is mine, in the end.

Harry.

Hi Harry......

Yes, I like EZ Trust. I have used it (and the freebie

InoculateIT
PE
version before) for at least 6 years at a guess. I had Norton 3

and
went
to
that after getting 4 viruses because Norton was defective!!

I can't tell you whether AVG & Sygate are better.....it is your
choice.
One
thing in EZ Trust's favour tho, is that it updates every

day.....AVG
does
not!! But if you practice *safe hex*, it matters not what you

use.
I
can't
remember the last time my AV went off......I have OE tweaked

enough
and
an
ISP that grabs viruses and spam, so that it rarely gets used.

So in essence, it is your choice. If you like them, then keep

them.
If
you
prefer an AV that updates more often, then go for EZ Trust.

Guess that didn't answer your question, did it (G).

Hello Heather:

Knowing that you are an advocate of EZArmor, I would like your
opinion
on
whether to go back to EZAntivirus and EZFirewall, which I had

lost
and
now
retrieved the exe. files, or keep the AVG Antivirus and Sygate
Firewall,
which were installed for immediate protection.
EZArmor requires uninstalling any other Antivirus Software,

before
using
it.
I must say that I like AVG & Sygate quite a lot.
What's the verdict?

Harry, old and would prefer it both ways.
