Default New PC, 98 with old BIOS

1. Your new system very likely can't run Windows 98.
2. If it can, you go to the hardware manufacturers' sites and get the 98
drivers IF available.
3. No, the drivers you need aren't likely to be available. What model
Compaq? All you said is Presario. There's more to it than that.

You need to reinstall all drivers. First, can you FIND all of the drivers
for the new hardware that will support Win98?

Gary, that question isn't simple to answer.
My new system is a Compaq Presario that has no
installation or maintenance CD. It has a separate
partition that is used for maintenance and they're
probably there somewhere. They're made for XPHome.
I have the 98 installation CD, are you suggesting
they are there? What, specifically, should I look
for, and what should I do with whatever I might find?
Remember, I'm part way home because at least I have
it running in Safe Mode.

I get other options with F8, but have no idea what
to do with them.
