Default Display Adapter

The Display Adapter is your graphics card and you should be using the
latest Win Me compatible driver which can be downloaded from the card
manufacturer's web site.

The actual resolution available to you will however be dictated by the
actual graphics card you are using and your monitor. If you are thinking
about purchasing a new graphics card then it is essential that you get one
that is compatible with your motherboard. For example you need to know
whether the motherboard has an AGP slot or uses a regular PCI slot for the
card. There are also two different sorts of AGP slot, high and low
voltage which have a different cut-out in the part of the card that plugs
in to the slot on the motherboard. I would suggest you look at cards
using either nVidia or ATI chipsets, the latter being my preference.

Check that you have the latest drivers for your model card and that your
monitor isn't limited to a maximum resolution of 800x600.

Which version of a Display Adapter works best for windows ME? The one
I am using only has a screen resolution of 800X600 for the biggest
screen size. I accidentally uninstalled the one I was using. I
downloaded an ATI one. I donot like it. I need one with bigger screen
resolutions for my photos. Help please.
