panel/install/uninstall programs. Does not seem to be any difference in Web
page displays. Will now search for those 'other' programs that were not in
the Macromedia folder. Will report back.

Uninstall whatever you don't want. The only effect will be that in some
cases an animation won't play, and that's no loss, IMHO. Just avoid those
sites that use animations.

I particularly dislike real player, but shockwave can create problems as
well.

editing and desktop publishing programs(several);Adaptec cd
programs(loaded)
and photo cd's, etc. My system runs Windows

according to today's standards .Until I got back on the Internet,
everything
ran okay. Would like to know what 'players' may have to do with these
programs, and what Microsoft program(free; updates; or otherwise)
