How to back up and restore the registry in Windows XP

...
For information about how to back up the registry in Windows Vista and in
Windows 7

What has this to do with Win98 ?

Do You Know How to back up and
restore the registry in Windows 95, 98 or ME ?

Well Do You

Yes; ERU/ERD. On the CD (though I am pretty sure not actually installed
as part of a standard [or any other AFAIK] installation). On the CD
under something/other or other/something, IIRR. The recovery part
could be run from DOS, and rescued me at least once in '9x days.

ERUNT is a third-party imitation that performs a similar function for
NT-based OSs, though I can't remember if it can be run from DOS - I
think not, as DOS doesn't work with NT. (I think it can be run from a
recovery console, though.)
