Default Divide Overflow

Are you trying to install over the top of the existing system or is the hard
drive blank? If the drive is blank, I would suspect a hardware problem,
likely ram or CPU. If you are installing over the top, then I would format
the drive (providing there are no files that you need) and install the
system clean. What lead you to reinstall the system--were you having
problems and if so, what were they?

I am reinstalling Windows 98 on a small hard drive (8g) and everytime I try
it gets to "Windows 98 is now installing its driver database" and
everything
freezes up and at the top left of the screen it says"Your program caused a
divide overflow error. If the problem persists contact your program
vendor".
Thats as far as it will go. H E L P !!!!!
