Default Change installation path from CD to hard drive

"Bob" wrote in message ...
I have copied the WIN98 folder from the CD to my hard drive and, from what I
understand, I can change that source path location in the registry. However,
under HKLM/software/microsoft/windows/current version/setup there is no
existing key for SourcePath. Do I create a new key and give it a DWORD value
of "C:\win98" to force the install path to that location rather than having
to browse to it (or the CD)? Any time I make a change, I'm always prompted
for the location and it would be nice to have it automatically recognized as
C:\win98...

Thanks

Bob

Yes. It's a string and should end with a \ like "C:\Win98\"
