Hi Billy... Sometimes people have to many things running in their startup. You should only have a few things running in your starup. Things that you do not want to have to turn on when you get on your computer. Things that you have on your desktop, that you can just click on are things you do not need on. You can just click on them and turn them on. There are some things you can't just turn on from your desktop. To see how many things you have running on your computer you need to go to your msconfig file. I always keep a shortcut on my desktop, because after time things just keep getting added to it and you don't realize it.You can go to FIND and type: MSCONFIG it will be windows system it will have a little red check on it. Open it up and set it to Selective startup. and check the process (config) (system) (win) and load startup under GENERAL. Then move to STARTUP and click on the ones you want to run.Things like yahoo IM and AOL IM is not necessary to run you can just click on them to start it from your desktop. Remember everything you click on will be running on your computer at the same time. And if they are all running your computer will run slow. Things that you should keep running is your virus scan, your systray, loadpower profile. Anything you turn off you can always go back and turn it back on. So don't let it scare you. Hope this works
