Today after much problems I discovered my calendar set to December 5,
2009, although I did not change it.
How do I change them back to the appropriate dates?
The changes span over several folders, too. I don't even know how to
look for all the damage to undo it.
I would normally ignore and just let the calendar 'catch up', but
these folders are synchronized in four locations using xcopy and the
most recent date stamp. I don't dare allow these files marked with
weird dates to corrupt the updating processes.
help!

I suppose we should ask what you had done or what had run prior to the
purported changes. As suggested, do a Find/search for the files with the
specific date changes.
As for changing the dates back or whatever, I used an app called
Properties Plus from PCMag [I think it was anyway]. It can change the
dates of files to ANY date, both for creation and modification.
