right-click then choose Delete from the menu? Still think that unless
you're editing Start/Programs for somebody else you should at least just
create a folder in there and drag-n-drop the shortcuts into it.

Ive tried to right click and delete however did not work

Looked at the option of personal items, although, would perfer to
delete the options that have shortcuts on the desktop. Any other way
to get rid of these programs?
