Default Internet to dialup ISP

Provided your ISP is a "normal" one, all you need is an email client.
Windows includes Outlook Express which is one such program. You probably
already have it installed, but it may be outdated. To get the latest OE,
install/reinstall Internet Explorer. IE 6.1 is the last version Win9x can
use. Get it he
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...s/default.mspx

Choose "Minimal or Custom" install option.

Or, go to Add/Remove Programs and double-click the "Microsoft Internet
Explorer (x.xx) and Internet Tools". Assuming it's a recent version that you
have installed, choose Add Components. OE will be offered. If it's BOLD,
then it's already installed. Still, I'd strongly recommend upgrading to
IE6.1 if you aren't already there.

Note that OE is *not* Microsoft Outlook, which is an entirely different
program that's part of MS Office suites.

Once you have OE installed, or have located the already installed program,
you'll need to refer to your ISP's help pages to get the proper
configuration information. If you have any problems, please include the name
of your ISP in future posts.

I have a dialup interface to ISP . Can I still access my ISP and
download/upload my mail if I have to access ISP via internet and not
dialup. Example say I am at a location were I only have say wire less or
DSL. Can I connect to my ISP and download my mail. I understand that I can
use WEB mail but its important I have a copy of message on my machine.
Thanks in advance.
