Default New Dell A10 Printer A940

A quick glance at Dell's site
(http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod..._printer2?c=us
&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs - Find out if compatible with your operating system) would
reveal the following:
"The new Dell Personal All-in-One Printer A960, A940, A920, 922 and J740
Inkjet are compatible with systems that run Windows® 2000 or Windows XP
operating systems only. If the system you plan to connect to these printers
using operating systems such as, but not limited to: Windows NT, ME, 95, or,
98 the A940, A920 and J740 will not be compatible."
you find confusing.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me (and is anyone else
getting angry with Microsoft for selling us a operating
system that cannot keep up with the times)?

No, and why should I? Out of curiosity why do you think Win Me should include
drivers for a printer that wasn't available until some years after the
operating system was released? Provision of drivers is the hardware
manufacturer's responsibility. In this case Dell have chosen not to release
drivers for Win Me or any other Win 9x system. If you are going to moan, moan
at Dell not Microsoft.

My home office is running Windows ME and I use a Dell 9100
notebook for my other work office. I just purchased a
new "Dell A10 Printer A940" and connected it to my home
computer (which also has a wireless router for when I
bring my work computer home). The printer connection is
over a USB 2.0 port. My home computer (using Windows ME)
tells me it cannot find a driver for the printer and the
printer is giving me a message (displayed on my Windows ME
monitor screen) that "Support for the Dell A10 Printer
A940 in not provided for your operating system". What is
wrong with Windows ME and how can I make my new printer
work (properly) with it?
