.... I deleted all shortcuts in send to and created new ones

Did they work from the SendTo folder?
Did they work at all?

Depending on your answer, can you create a shortcut on your desktop and run
it from there? If so can you 'move' or 'copy & paste' it to the SendTo
folder etc. ....

Don't know what your registry patch was - but you seem to acknowledge that
it is a registry issue g

It wasn't a 'patch' as such, it was a 'Power Toys' Send To
enhancement; I thought that might correct the situation.

Check their properties in your SendTo folder and try running them from
there. Maybe just a path issue.

Already checked that and as I said in the original post, I deleted all
shortcuts in send to and created new ones after reinstalling a couple
of the programs involved, thinking maybe it was 'their' fault.

In the meantime take a look at :-
How to Add Items to the "Send To" List.

Tried that. No joy.

As of today, my 'Send To' facility seems to have gone a little wacky.
Of the 8 shortcuts listed, only the one that "Send Shortcut To
Desktop" is working; all others have stopped. I downloaded a supposed
registry patch to fix it, but to no avail. I've reinstalled two of
the programs listed, deleted the old shortcuts and put new ones into
the 'Send To' folder; no joy. Anyone got any ideas?
