i owe somebody lunch!!!!!!!!!! thank you all for your help. My only
dillema now is that after saving all my files and trying to reformat my
bad computer, in the middle of the reformat the computer says "cd101
not ready reading drive m abort,retry,fail". This happens when it gets
down to extracting windows: options/cabs14. I would retry it when this
message comes up and then it says "pkunzip error in table" then
finishes off the whole reformat but unsuccesfully. Any thoughts?

Again... I can't tell you how thankful I am!

What is a *MUCH* more important consideration is that if there are any
malware/viruses active on the ailing machine, networking is going to prove
much more dangerous to the healthy machine than simply swapping the drives
as we've already suggested.

Hi Ron,
Thanks for your help! I tried doing this last night but it kept
telling giving me an error file does not exist. I was able to get
into
Windows in normal mode for a split second before the screen just
turned
white and would not do anything else. When trying to restart
using
ctrl alt del it says "msvgr32 not responding". I just need to
back up
my files to a cd then I want to completely reformat the computer,
but
when in safe mode it does not recognize my D drive.
