Then for some reason, it would only display 16 colors on the monitor!

Any ideas? thanks in advance.

What a moron.

I can't believe that some people are so retarded when it comes to using
windoze.

Look fool.

Right-click somewhere on an empty area of the desktop. *A drop-down list
will appear. *Select "Properties".

A window will pop up. *It will have 5 or 6 tabs across the top. *Select
the "Settings" tab.

You will see 2 slider controls. *Once for the number of colors/bits,
another for screen resolution.

Set them as appropriate or as desired.

If the only choice for color is 15 or 256 colors, and/or if the choice
for screen resolution is no higher than 640 x 480 or 800 x 600, then
either you have a really crappy/old video card, or the drivers for the
card are not installed, or they're the wrong drivers.

To take this one step further, close that window, then right-click on
the "my computer" icon and select "properties". *Click the "device
manager" tab.

There will be an entry for "Display Adapter". *Is there a yellow
exclamation mark (!) beside it?

If not, click the [+} beside Display Adapter and report back what is
listed under it.

Well, thanks for the supportive help!

I think, if you'd read the message, I'd mentioned that it was running
just fine and for some reason STOPPED running full color and only
started running 16 color. Nothing changed. Same computer, same
monitor, same settings. Just for some reason the higher color setting
disappeared.
