Default Color and sound

Display (and sound) issues in WinMe are generally caused by
corrupted/damaged drivers and can nearly always be corrected as follows :-

(NB. Concentrate on the Video drivers first and then repeat the exercise for
your Sound drivers)

Boot into Safe Mode and in Device Manager, 'Remove' any/all Display Adapters
and Monitors and then re-boot. WinMe *should* (see N.B.below) re-detect
(Plug and Play) your video card and monitor, and should install the
'correct' original drivers.

This should allow you to readjust your display to your required settings.

N.B. - Be sure that you have a 'fresh' copy of the video drivers (often
supplied on a supplementary CD, supplied with your PC) or download the
'latest' WinMe drivers from your video card manufacturers web site.

Undertake the same operation for your Soundcard.

Good luck
