The 2) thing with the shift worked. Now I don't exactly understand what
to remove to be able to start from scratch. In the Device Manager I
didn't even find the Display thing, as I had already removed the
display driver while in normal mode. Is that what I have to remove?


I'm going to have to test that myself with the Shift key. Don't know where my
mind was at the moment, but that should have been: press/hold down the CTRL
key.

If display/video is not present then nothing is installed. Otherwise if it was
present with devices and duplicates showing, you would remove any/all devices
showing including the duplicates.

Reboot and Windows should redetect the device for installation.
