Try reinstalling or repairing Adobe Reader. I have not used versison 5
for a while now but there might be an option to repair it in Add/Remove
Programs Control Panel applet. If there are no option to repair it,
uninstall and reinstall it.

Make sure the file is properly associated with Acrobat Reader. Right
click on a .pdf file click "Open With" and select Acrobat Reader.
Select or Check the "Always use this program to open these files" box
to have Windows associate the file with Acrobat Reader.

Operating System : Microsoft Windows Me

Problem: Upon Double Clicking on "My Documents" Icon I a get a list
of my files. ( OK )

When I Double Click on a PDF file such as xx.pdf I get the following error
message :

" c:\ MyDocuments\xx.pdf is not a valid win32 application "

If I Double Click on the Acrobat Reader 5.0 Icon the reader comes up OK and
I can "Open" file xx.pdf using the browser window. ( this works OK )

How do fix the error described above Re : win32 application ??

Thanks,
Dr. H.Mak

Recovery Disk. It did not Fix the Problem ?? ( I also tried a Different Source
Disk and Install )

No Repair Option in Add/Remove. Note that Acrobat Reader is not listed in the
Program List shown ?? ( Widows Me Op System )
