Indeed, Harry. You said you were of German extraction. At first glance
'Webster' sounds undeniably English - but then Webber is clearly German and
I expect Webster shares the etymology at least. And after all many if not
all English names seem to come from French, German, Scandinavian (Beatson,
for e.g.) and Welsh.

But from time to time you say things that makes me suspect that actually
'Webster' was the name of someone who hasn't been seen for a few years now
but whose skin you're sitting in as you type!
