Sounds like you system battery needs to be replaced. *It's inside the
computer. *You will lose all bios settings when you change it,
although there are two ways to avoid that. *Change is extremely fast
so the capacitirs dont discharge, or leave the computer turned on and
be careful not to drop it on the motherboard and short out something.

Upon very close inspection, it appears the calendar was changed and
all files starting June 3 in the afternoon, suddenly everything's
dates were bumped up to December 3, etc. In other words, could have
been operator error [at least I hope]

With that in mind I found three programs recommended
FileDate Changer
SetFileDate 2.0
Express Timestamp Toucher

After downloading SetFileDate 2.0 approx 560kB installed and ran. The
interface was great, even stored all old settings making it easier to
go through each file to change the date, but preserve the time of
day. Plus, can select any of three attributes for the date to change:
create, modify, access.

Took less than 1/2 hour to go through all the damage, and still
preserve the time of day on the files.

I'm not sure how a file/folder created in 2007 got changed, but I
simply purged that section and recopied it with the correct dates from
an original section.

Just a footnote: I downloaded the WinTouch program mentioned above and
after completion of the download, IE? hung so badly had to reboot.
Not sure that relates to the download, but more and more my IE gets
hung at the drop of a hat.

I'll keep watch on this date changing to see if it was me, or the PC
acting up.

Regarding changing the Li battery, if the system is plugged in all the
time the battery is not necessary, right?
