It has 2 USB ports, I can't find any mention of USB 2.0 or 1.1 in the
manual, but given the age, I assume USB 1.1. 12mbp is plenty
considering the size of the hard drive.

IIRC, USR had a 11Mbps PC Card [Type II or III] that worked and came
with software for 95-NT/XP. I seem to remember some issues vaguely.

IIRC semi-reliable USB only came after a few updates.

otherwise you may need SE if you have problems. SE will or should run

Not a device specific driver of course, but certainly 2.0 support if
available via device and motherboard. Any NIC may/will still require a
special INF for the specific device, though the update *may* avoid the
complaint for lack of USB 2.0, or unsupported system, in WinFE/Gold
[note the version] and even with USB 1.1 [though the speeds will not
increase due to hardware/BIOS/chipset support limitations].
