Actually, I've never used Windows ME. Sure, I have the CD and could
install it any time I want, but I simply never have. It's Windows 98se
that is my current OS, and has been since probably some time in 2000
when I changed from Windows 95 (I skipped right over 98fe)

Microsoft botched Windows ME. The only reason for it's existance was to
take advantage of the Y2K scare that gripped the world back in 1999.
It's a step backwards from Win-98 the way I see it. Much the same way
that Vista was a step backwards from XP.

You didn't, I was reflecting back to the Windows Me group, which is history
now,
as will all the rest of them be in time to come.
Hence my 'splashing in the water' now.
