Presumably the dlink is there for its wireless capability?

If the dlink is capable of handling the Internet connection with your
isp you can ditch the speedstream or you can keep the setup as it is
but connect the two routers lan port to lan port leaving the wan port
of the dlink disconnected.

If you leave the dlink in, switch off it's dhcp server.

Either way, port forwarding needs to be done only from the router
which connects to the Internet not both.
