How come with a number of windows 98 machines I have no two have the
same thing coming up during the startup process? One just starts with
a windows cloud picture windows then goes black then returns before
finally I see the desktop. Another one has some screens of text on
black mixed in sequence with the windows 98 cloud picture screen. And
I also noticed that after months of a certain text on the screen one
day it had some different information in text coming up for a few days
then I guess it went back to the way it had been. All that text flies
by so fast is there a way to freeze it and be able to actually read
all of it?

When processors were slower, it was easier to read a bit. When they
were much slower it was even easier.

With any fast moving thing, blinking ones eyes repeatedly is a way to
stop the action. Of course you miss the parts that go by when your
eyes are closed, but at least you may be able to read the parts that
are there when your eyes are open!!
