My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:

Hello,

curious. (I always partition various drives as a general rule.) What
do ME users who want it to be a single non-partitioned drive need to
do beyond updating BIOS if applicable? I took a look he
http://www.48bitlba.com/win98.htm I didn't see a "fix" for it there
really, only the idea of just partitioning it.

One can buy 'High Capacity Disk Patch" from Rudolph R. Loew:

(This patch updates ESDI_506.PDR)

Interesting and thank you. I can't, for the life of me, imagine paying for
something such as this. I'd sooner partition personally though it does
answer my qeustion as to "how" one manages to do this. I suppose with FATxx
and the inherant file size limitations there's no real concern about using
the entire drive either way. My current thought process is on the lines of
creating an ME box that is at maximum capacity, an idea that stems from
trying to get ME to run on a 64 bit AMD. (No, I don't have a good reason for
any of this, just the reason that it's something to do...) Thanks again,
I'll take a look at the demo, see what it does, and think about other
alternative methods.
