Delete both the index.dat files from DOS--it will recreate after booting. I
told you yesterday how to change the location of the folder.

My problems are getting worse. I cannot change the
settings for the temp internet file size; I get the "Enter
value between 1 or 0" message, no matter where I set the
file size it keeps repeating. I have two locations for
temp internet files, one in Windows, one in Windows temp.
I cannot move the one from Win Temp it generates an error
that there "won't be enough space in the new
location...delete these files' etc.

The only thing in either file location is a 3mb index.dat.

I now cannot download files and save them. My only choice
of format to save pics is the .bmp, not jpg.

Tried reloaded Win98 SE and running the newest AVG
software.

Should I start from scratch and load Win 98 then do the
Win 98SE upgrade. Smash the computer? Buy an Apple?

This all may have started with me deleting files from the
Win/temp/temporary internet folder. This was the only
folder that ever had files in it. The Windows folder never
had any files in it's temporary internet folder.

How can I get the Win/temporary internet folder restored
and used as the primary temproary folder?

I really need some help here.
