Default Printing Blank Pages

I suggested Notepad to avoid the complexities introduced by printing from
complex word processors such as Word. Everyone has Notepad since it is
supplied with every version of Windows. Look in Start Programs Accessories..

Have a look in control Panel * system * Hardware * Device Manager to see if
the USB port is marked with a red X or yellow !.

Thanks. I'm not familiar with "Notepad" and not sure that I have it -
in looking at "Add/Remove Programs", I don't see it there. I did,
however, create a document in Microsoft Word and tried to print. The
same thing happened - printer made all the usual noises as if
operating O.K. - but ejects the page with nothing on it!

*I am running a Lexmark Z45 printer with Windows 98SE and the printer
has

started printing only blank pages. I have checked out all of Lexmarks
troubleshooting tips and also downloaded their updated driver - still no
joy
! Windows does not seem to be communicating properly with the printer.
Any
ideas out there?

Thanks

Tom - Thanks for following up on the problem I was having. The printer
is now working O.K. again. I appreciate it.
